May all who lead Christian communities emulate Jesus, seeking out the lost, mending those in need of healing, and giving strength to the weary, so that all may know abundant life.

As the world climate conference starts in the United Arab Emirates this week (30 November to 12 December), we pray that Pope Francis’ words motivate them to strive for greater environmental protection of our planet, which we all share.
“When the Son of Man comes in his glory,
and all the angels with him,
he will sit upon his glorious throne,
and all the nations will be assembled before him.”
Greta Thunberg warns COP28: Fight climate change now or face “death sentence”

Corporal Works of Mercy Slideshow to the Song Whatsoever You Do
For those who quietly serve others, that their selfless acts may help build a better world through God’s grace.
“For I was hungry and you gave me food,
I was thirsty and you gave me drink,
a stranger and you welcomed me,
naked and you clothed me,
ill and you cared for me,
in prison and you visited me.'”
We pray for the hungry. May the ample resources of the world be shared justly with them, especially children barely surviving in places of war and famine.
We pray for the thirsty. May the powerful of the world ensure that all members of the human family have ready access to safe drinking water.
We pray for the stranger. May there be a revolution of hospitality and kindness for all who are judged to be other than ourselves.
We pray for the naked. May those who have the least of world’s goods be given all they need for a truly human life.
We pray for the sick. May they not suffer alone but be assured of the love and care of the whole community.
We pray for those in prison. May they be treated fairly and be encouraged by the hope of freedom and new life.

We pray for those who are away from their families and loved ones, especially our parish members in the armed forces and aid workers: that God will keep them safe, grant them strength to fulfill their duties, and guide them home
“Beside restful waters he leads me;
he refreshes my soul.
He guides me in right paths
for his name’s sake”
For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers including: N; may they find comfort in the healing touch of God and by the loving care of family and friends, we pray…
For our Beloved Dead, including N. We also pray for all who have died more recently; that God will fill them with life and give consolation and peace to those who grieve them, we pray
